Anti-War Rally at West Steps of Capitol, Sunday, March 16, 1:30 pm

To mark the fifth anniversary of the invasion and occupation of Iraq, a rally will be held Sunday, March 16, 1:30 pm, west steps, state capitol. The theme of the rally will be "The cost of war," to tie in with an AFSC campaign pointing out that the US is spending $500,000 a minute, $720 million a day on a war that should never have happened. People will have the opportunity to show how the money could be better spent on meeting human needs.
Pending final arrangements, the keynote speaker may be former Congresswoman, staunch anti-war activist and Green Party candidate for president Cynthia McKinney
