Brazil: Governor Roberto Requião responds Ajufe's note and calls censorship's judge for debate.

Paraná State's governor Roberto Requião responded the note of the Association of Federal Judges of Brazil (Ajufe), claiming to be disappointed with the attitude of the Judge Walter Nunes da Silva Junior, president of the association. Requião also asked the judge for discussion at the School of Government of next Tuesday. Read below the full note of the governor of Paraná:

Brazil: prior censorship against Paraná State's governor is absolutely reprehensible.

The president of the National Federation of Journalists (Fenaj), Sergio Murillo de Andrade, ranked as "absolutely reprehensible" the court decision that establishes prior censorship in Radio and Television Paraná Educativa.

"The decision of Magistrate Lippmann Edgar Junior is absolutely reprehensible. This is a case of prior censorship, something that Fenaj condemns totally, "he said".

In the last 3 years at the Pueblo City-County Library District, freedom of expression and information have been under fire. People have lost their jobs for speaking out and even writing emails that the Director disagrees with. Others have been severely disciplined and threatened with arrest for freedom of expression as private citizens.
